Description
There are Part time and Full scholarships; If you want to go for the Full scholarships, you have to know that it is available for exceptionally qualified students or candidates who have been accepted to study at GRIPS.
Local and International students can apply for the scholarship but chances of local students being accepted is quite low. International students or candidates would have to apply for a seperate program called Young Leaders Program at GRIPS, they can also apply for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships.
Candidates have to be overseas students so as to get higher chances of being accepted and you have to be recommended by the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General, university, or authorities.

Scholarship Value Or Inclusions
The scholarship give provides for a monthly stipend of 242,000 yen per month (the amount might change) for living expenses like clothing, food and other daily expenses like; accommodation, medical treatment, transportation, insurance, and miscellaneous expenses which sre related to your study at GRIPS. The scholarship program also pay for the the university application fee, admission fee, and tuition. This stipend is fixed and will not be increased to pay for your family members.
Scholars will be awarded an economy-class air ticket from their country to Japan after being accepted at GRIPS and you will be going for the enrollment into the institution.
Eligibility
The Young Leaders Program is open to young public administrators and government officials who can play active roles in the future as national leaders in their home countries. A minimum of three years of full-time work experience (five is preferable) in the field in the applicant’s home country is Required.
Admission to the Young Leaders Program, you will require a bachelor’s degree. The applicant should be under 40 years of age; they should be good in English with a TOEFL iBT score of 79; IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or equivalent; and must be able to get a student visa when arriving in Japan.
