Description

The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung makes available scholarships to both Germans and overseas international students who wish to undertake Bachelors, Masters, or PhD studies at German universities or technical colleges. Studies could be in any subject. The Foundation helps young students or talents who want to increase or building up their personal development and want to be among the best in their field. The Foundation is looking for students who are committed to socio-political goals.

Target Group

International students come from all over the world. The Foundation often support young students or talents who have limited financial opportunities or who are from families with a migration background.

Scholarship Value Or Inclusions

Scholars receive up to €744 per month. there would be monthly flat-rate study fee of 300 pounds, which scholar or students can freely use. Depending on your situation, you may also get contribution towards long-term care insurance of up to 15 pounds per month, and health insurance of up to 71 pounds.

Scholars who are mothers of fathers can receive a family allowance of 155 pounds per month. The scholarship program does not have to be repaid.

The Foundation helps students by funding theur stay abroad during the funding period through subsidies for tuition fees, travel expenses, study or research stays, language courses, and internships of up to 12 months, and international health insurance.

Eligibility

Students who wish to apply can be Germans or foreign students with education, or students who have refugee status. Applicants should be students or young talents who are committed to society. Students who go through active participation in the student council, youth work, NGOs, participation in associations or in political organizations. Those who have been enrolled at a German university before this scholarship program are ineligible.

Applicants must demonstrate sociopolitical engagement and identification with social democratic values, as well as above-average performance in school and studies, political thinking, a thirst for knowledge, tolerance and openness, teamwork, critical thinking, and self-reflection.

List of Universities to Study Abroad In The UK with WAEC Result

Applicants for basic bachelor’s and master’s degree courses must have the following:

  1. Confirmation of study location or enrollment certificate at state-recognized or state German university or technical college for the course in which they want to be funded for.
  2. Foreign applicants must also demonstrate adequate German language proficiency.
  3. First-year students ( foreign students and German students with education) must apply before or at the beginning of the first semester of the course.

PhD funding applicants must have:

  1. Unconditional notification of doctoral scholarship acceptance
  2. Foreign applicants must also demonstrate adequate German language proficiency.

Application Instructions

To apply, you must fill all the necessary questions in the online application form. If you are eligible for the scholarship program, the foundation would request you send additional documents by e-mail. The application deadline for Masters degree scholarships for foreign students will on November 30th, 2021 for the winter semester and May 31, 2022 for the summer semester. PhD candidates can apply at any time.
